Tight-Fisted adjective
Used to say that someone is unwilling to spend money; stingy and miserly.

This phrase, which has been in use since at least the late 1800s, refers to tightly clutching one's money as if clenching one's fist. Since the early 1900s, a similer term has been used: "tight with money."
